SUSAN PEMBERTON Lewistown Tribune, Lewistown, Idaho), 29 Jul 1921, Page 4 Column 3 Submitted by Denise Sproed Mrs. Susan Pemberton Claimed by Paralysis Clarkston, July 28 - Mrs. Susan Pemberton died of paralysis today at 10:50 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. W. Bishop, at Sycamore and Thirteenth streets. Since her first stroke five years ago at Pullman she has been a helpless invalid. For the past two years she has lived in Clarkston with her daughter and had many warm friends among the neighbors and members of her church. Mrs. Pemberton's maiden name was Susan A. Rochester. She was born at Livingston, Ind., and when she was six years old her parents moved to Forest City, Ill., where she grew to womanhood and in 1863 was united in marriage to George W. Pemberton of that place. To them were born eight children, two sons dying in infancy. Mr. Pemberton was in the mercantile business there until his death in 1899, after which his widow came west to be with her children. A daughter, Mrs. E. J. Snell, died in the west two years ago, leaving two children. Mrs. Pemberton is survived by one son and four daughters as follows: John Pemberton and Mrs. John Dosier of Forest City, Ill.; Mrs. O. L. Willett of Seattle, Mrs. Effie Wehmhoff of Tacoma and Mrs. H. W. Bishop of Clarkston.
Mrs. Willett and Mrs. Wehmhoff are expected to arrive here in the morning. The body will be taken to Forest City, Ill, for burial and will be accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Bishop. The funeral will be held at the Merchant chapel at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon.
